In my years of working with clients and talking with young men in Charlotte and beyond, one thing became clear — a lot of young men in high school and college don't own a suit. Not because they don't want one. But because nobody handed them the opportunity to get one. That matters more than most people realize.
When a young man wants to apply for an internship, walk into a job fair, attend a networking event, or sit across from someone who could change his life — the absence of a suit isn't just an inconvenience. It's a barrier. One that has nothing to do with his talent, his work ethic, or his potential.
I started His First Suit because I believe that barrier shouldn't exist.
How It Works
I partnered with a trusted vendor to provide high-quality suits that would normally retail between $600 and $800. These are not cheap suits. They are well-made, professional garments that a young man can wear with confidence to any interview, event, or opportunity that comes his way. Once a suit is donated, I reach out to organizations to see if they have a student they feel deserves the free suit. However, if you have someone in mind, you can name the recipient. It can even be a family member.
