With a client list which includes celebrities Eddie Griffin, DL Hughley, Oscar de la Hoya, George Lopez and Stephen Curry, William has become one of the most sought after clothing designers in America; as well as an accomplished public speaker. William is one fo the few E.G.O.T. private designers in America, meaning he has designed for the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and the TONY Awards. William has been voted “Best Custom Clothier” 8 times, “Best Men’s Suits” 4 times and “Best New Clothing Store”.

Before becoming an award-winning, highly sought after celebrity clothing designer; William made history when he became the first African-American to win a championship in the history of NASCAR. He added to his resume of accomplishments when his 8 and a half years of service in the US Navy resulted in his induction into the NC Military Veterans' Hall of Fame in 2018.

William is also a noted philanthropist. In 2010, he founded the William Wilson Charitable Foundation to raise funds to fight domestic violence survivor scholarships. He also hosts an annual celebrity charity event, "The Clothier Classic" which raises money for the scholarships for domestic violence survivors.
